ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher of Chemistry to join our dynamic Science department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Chemistry up to Higher Level in the IB Diploma Programme, as well as Chemistry and general science to MYP students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, possess a positive mindset, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. We welcome applications from both experienced and less experienced teachers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach engaging Chemistry lessons for MYP and IB Diploma (including HL).

Deliver general science lessons to younger MYP students.

Contribute to curriculum development, including schemes of work and assessments.

Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress.

Provide targeted support to help all students reach their potential.

Create an inclusive and collaborative classroom environment.

Incorporate hands-on experiments and inquiry-based learning.

Inspire students to pursue Chemistry-related careers and higher education.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.

Experience teaching Chemistry up to Diploma Programme (HL) or equivalent (e.g., A-levels).

Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

Passion for creating a dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to work well with students, parents, and colleagues.

Commitment to professional growth and contributing to school initiatives.

Willingness to participate in extracurricular and enrichment activities.

Proficiency in English.
Desirable Requirements

Understanding of the IB philosophy, particularly inquiry-based learning and intercultural awareness.
