ROLE SUMMARY:
Sotogrande International School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Residential Monitor to assume this role for our Summer Camps in Sotogrande. The Residential Monitor ensures campers have a fun, engaging, and safe experience while providing pastoral care and supervision. They are responsible for building strong relationships with campers, enforcing camp procedures, and assisting with daily operations. This includes supporting activities, providing first aid, and helping with arrivals and transfers. The role requires strong communication, responsibility, and teamwork to create a positive camp atmosphere.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-Arrival:
Attend training, familiarize with camp materials, and review safety protocols. Prepare accommodation areas and complete online child safety training.
Daily Duties:
Report to Head of Juniors/Head of Masters, providing updates on camper well-being and behavior. Offer pastoral care, ensuring campers’ physical and emotional well-being. Supervise campers during on-site and off-site activities, ensuring their safety. Assist with camp operations, unpacking/packing materials, and keeping areas clean. Participate in evening activities and late shifts, and handle emergencies if needed. Provide first aid and assist with health concerns, supporting the Camp Director and nurse.
Arrival Day Duties:
Welcome campers and families, assist with check-ins, and coordinate airport transfers. Provide support and guidance to help new arrivals adjust to the camp environment.
General Staff Duties:
Adhere to the Staff Handbook, maintain professionalism, and wear the camp uniform. Collaborate with team members and complete all required online child safety training. Uphold high standards of hygiene, appearance, and camper safety at all times.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Advanced or Proficiency (C1-C2) English. Valid EU work permit, CV with photo, and references.
Contract & Benefits:
- Contract from 26th June to 2nd August 2025, including training. Accommodation, meals, and accident insurance included. One day off each week.
