ROLE SUMMARY:

Sotogrande International School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Teacher to assume this role for our Summer Camps in Sotogrande. The Head Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering the language program at Sotogrande International Camps, working closely with the leadership team to ensure the program aligns with camp goals and provides an engaging experience for campers. This role involves creating dynamic, interactive lessons in English, French, or Spanish, assessing campers' progress, and supporting other staff members in best language teaching practices. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, be able to create an inclusive learning environment, and foster a love for language learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Design and deliver language lessons for all camper age groups and skill levels.
  • Assess and provide feedback on campers' language progress.
  • Train and support camp staff on best practices for teaching languages.
  • Ensure language learning is integrated into other camp activities (e.g., sports, arts, outdoor education).
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding children's language development.
  • Collaborate with camp staff to maintain a safe and engaging environment.
  • Participate in camp activities and other duties as required, including arrivals and departures.

 

Pre-Camp Preparation:

  • Attend training days and familiarize yourself with camp policies and procedures.
  • Complete necessary health and safety training and child safety modules.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, French, Spanish, Education, or related field.
  • At least two years of language teaching experience, preferably in a summer camp or international education setting.
  • Strong instructional skills and knowledge of language teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, changing environment.

 

Contract Details:

  • Period: 26th June – 2nd August 2025 (including training).
  • Weekly wage: From €675 (gross, before tax), with potential for additional tasks and benefits like free room and board.
  • Full-time summer camp commitment with opportunities for professional and personal development.

 

Required Documentation:

  • Valid EU work permit.
  • Curriculum Vitae with photo.
  • Criminal record check (less than 3 months old).
  • Scanned copies of degrees and certificates.
