Bus Driver

ROLE SUMMARY:

Knowledge Gate International School (KGIS) is seeking to appoint a Bus Driver to start immediately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

General responsibilities

• Ensure that the School vehicle is kept in a roadworthy and safe condition at all times

• Ensure that the School vehicle interior and exterior are kept in a very clean condition at all times

• Ensure that the School vehicle is regularly serviced in accordance with manufacturer guidelines

• Carry out a daily visual inspection of vehicle for damage, as well as a daily manual test of tyres, brakes, brake lights and other essential items

• Ensure that all passengers are transported in accordance with the School guidelines for Health and Safety for transportation

• Strong customer service focus being courteous at all times
• Promptly record any accidents and/or injuries

• Ensure that the vehicle is maintained in optimum working order and that the vehicle is regularly serviced

• Have a high regard for the comfort, safety and well-being of passengers at all times

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Full clean driving licence

• Must have good eyesight

• Professional driving ability, good understanding of defensive driving techniques

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role

• Mature and responsible outlook. Aged 25+ years old

• Excellent time management skills and able work to strict deadlines 

• Fluent language ability in both spoken and written Arabic and English essential

• Personable and approachable

• Professional and smart appearance at all times
