ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Dual Language Homeroom Teacher to join our Primary School in August 2025. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Teach and lead a primary class in both English and French, following IB PYP and curriculum standards.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate dual language lessons, ensuring coherence across subjects.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports holistic student development.
  • Use inquiry-based learning to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
  • Regularly assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, supporting the dual language curriculum.
  • Encourage student participation in extra-curricular activities and ensure their social and personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide effective feedback to students and parents.
  • Lead students in assemblies, events, and form-time activities, supporting the school’s culture and ethos.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A degree in Education or a related field with a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Fluency in both English and French is essential.
  • 3-5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school, with a focus on dual language education.
  • Knowledge and experience with inquiry-based and student-centred teaching methods.
  • Proven ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes active learning.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.
  • A passion for professional development and innovative approaches to teaching.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
  • A commitment to participating in extra-curricular activities and contributing to the wider school community.
