We are seeking to appoint an English Teacher who will teach students from Middle School through to the IB Diploma Programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and passionate educator to join our vibrant school in August 2025.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Teaching English to Middle School and IB DP students in accordance with the curriculum standards. 
  • Creating and delivering engaging lessons that develop students' skills in critical reading, writing, and communication. 
  • Developing differentiated learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students in your classroom, ensuring inclusivity. 
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on students’ progress regularly to ensure their academic success. 
  • Integrating technology into the classroom, leveraging digital tools to enhance learning and student engagement. 
  • Participating in and contributing to the school's extra-curricular and pastoral programs, including after-school activities, trips, and school events. 
  • Collaborating with other faculty members to promote a positive learning environment and engaging in professional development initiatives. 
  • Mentoring and guiding students through their personal, social, and academic development, offering advice and support where necessary. 
  • Communicating effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. 
  • Contributing to curriculum development and reviewing teaching strategies, ensuring they align with the school's objectives and IB standards. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A university degree in English or a related subject, with a recognized teaching certification. 
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience, ideally within international or IB schools, with a focus on secondary or middle school education. 
  • Familiarity with the MYP and IBDP curriculum and the ability to deliver lessons aligned with these frameworks. 
  • Proven track record of fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to achieve their potential. 
  • Strong technological proficiency and the ability to integrate digital tools into the learning experience. 
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English (basic knowledge of French is an advantage). 
  • A collaborative mindset, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with colleagues and contribute to team-based initiatives. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work within a dynamic, multicultural environment. 
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning, with a passion for innovative teaching practices. 
  • A solutions-oriented mindset, with a strong ability to problem-solve and manage classroom challenges. 
  • An interest in participating in extra-curricular activities and a willingness to engage in school life outside of the classroom.
