ROLE SUMMARY:
Reddam House Berkshire is a flagship UK school of the successful Reddam House International group. Set in 125 acres of wood and parkland, housed in a magnificent mansion building.

We have 800+ students between the ages of 3 months and 18 years are registered here (day students and boarders from age 11+). Children are recognised as individuals with unique skills to celebrate and given tailored support and guidance at each stage of their school career. We are currently looking for a peripatetic teacher of LAMDA to work at Reddam
Employment: Part-time: Friday 9.00-15,45
Hours will vary depending on uptake of LAMDA lessons by pupils.
Salary: £30.00 per hour
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach LAMDA lessons to students of various ages in according to the LAMDA specifications.
Work with the other LAMDA teacher to organise and manage exams at the centre, including the necessary paperwork surrounding this.
Be responsible for student communication and wider communications with the Head of Drama, other LAMDA staff and other school staff.
Steward students on exam days.
Manage efficiently and take responsibility for resources.
Source and resource interesting and appropriate learning materials such as play texts, excerpts and prose.
Thoroughly prepare students for LAMDA examinations and showcases.
Monitor pupils' progress.
Promote sound standards of punctuality and discipline.
Work with staff in the Drama department and other school staff to organise the drama showcase evening, showcasing the students’ practical examination work.
Attend the daytime rehearsal for the drama showcase and the evening event, supervising students and contributing to ensure the event is a success.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Industry experience. Working in theatre.
Experience teaching LAMDA lessons in line with the LAMDA specification and successfully seeing students through their LAMDA exams.
Experience of performance skills needed for musical theatre, acting and public speaking. Knowledge of the LAMDA syllabus for Musical Theatre, Acting and Speaking in Public
Excellent communication skills to enable effective dialogue with colleagues, staff, visitors and pupils. A proven record for meeting targets and deadlines.
