The Role:

 

We are seeking a secondary school Subject Leader of Design.  We are seeking an enthusiastic professional who will provide professional expertise, high quality teaching and learning within product and digital design.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Have experience in teaching Product and Digital Design at middle/high school level
  • Experience of teaching the IB is a distinct advantage, and candidates with experience in the Diploma Programme will be given priority
  • Be responsible for designing an MYP Design programme
  • Be knowledgeable of Robotics and Coding
  • Be committed to high standards, interested in using a constructivist approach to learning, and be enthusiastic about promoting international understanding
  • Be able to engage students at all levels
  • Be prepared to coordinate and teach IT
  • Be willing to inspire other members of staff in the use of IT and play an active role in the promotion of technology in school.
  • Collaborate within the teaching team and interact with the school IT department.
  • Be expected to show a high level of initiative, flexibility, creativity and organisational skills, as well as a commitment to co-curricular initiatives. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Hold an EU passport or have already obtained the right to be employed in Italy
  • Knowledge and skills in IT literacy
  • The ability to teach other subject(s) is an added advantage
  • IB experience is an advantage
