ROLE SUMMARY:

As part of our teaching team, we are looking an outstanding and dynamic Chemistry teacher to be in post ready for 1st August 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons for middle and high school students, following the IB curriculum.
- Develop and implement initiatives to foster students' interest in science by focusing on chemistry especially, promoting research and exploration skills.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to chemistry, such as practice labs to develop knowledge.
- Offer extra help sessions, guidance, and support to students in need, helping them achieve their academic goals.
- Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.
- Contributing to departmental improvement, including reviewing and updating the curriculum, methods of learning & teaching.
- Ensuring that lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of individual pupils, including additional challenge and support as required.
- Promoting and managing positive behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, welfare and safety in every moment and to develop within them positive attitudes towards peers, adults, property and schoolwork.
- Behave professionally concerning punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, students’ homework and maintaining confidentiality of information
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills, including the meeting of all deadlines.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related careers
- Software management (Word, Excel, Power Point, Google)
- Level B2 / C English Language
- 2 years of experience teaching Chemistry or in related positions
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of the IB programmes is desirable
