ROLE SUMMARY:

A prestigious international school in Barcelona is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, starting in November. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils aged 3 to 10/11 years old, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and personally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support pupils individually and in small groups as directed by the class teacher.
Help pupils engage in learning activities and remain focused and motivated during lessons.
Support children's social, emotional, and educational development.
Promote positive behaviour and assist teachers in managing classroom routines.
Listen to pupils read and support the development of literacy and phonics skills.
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teachers.
Follow children's interests and support play-based and inquiry-led learning activities.
Record observations and significant learning moments using school systems and technology.
Prepare and organise classroom and outdoor learning resources.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Experience working with children aged 3-10 years in a school or educational setting.
A High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
A university degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field (desirable).
The legal right to work in Spain.Confidence using ICT and educational technology.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
