ROLE SUMMARY:

 

The British College of Gavà is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 3–7 years. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, forward-looking school and play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral care within the Early Years and Key Stage 1.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Support learning through one-to-one and small group activities under teacher guidance

  • Encourage pupils’ engagement in adult-led and child-initiated, play-based learning

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development, following safeguarding procedures

  • Assist with phonics, early reading and language development

  • Observe, monitor and record pupil progress, including WOW moments

  • Prepare classroom and outdoor learning resources and displays

  • Support pastoral duties, breaktimes, school trips and whole-school events

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Experience working with children aged 3–7

  • Right to work in Spain (NIE/TIE)

  • High School Diploma (degree in a relevant field desirable)

  • Confidence using ICT (e.g. iPads) to support learning

  • A caring, flexible and proactive attitude with a strong commitment to pupil welfare
