ROLE SUMMARY:

The British College of Gavà is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 3–7 years. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, forward-looking school and play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral care within the Early Years and Key Stage 1.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support learning through one-to-one and small group activities under teacher guidance
Encourage pupils’ engagement in adult-led and child-initiated, play-based learning
Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development, following safeguarding procedures
Assist with phonics, early reading and language development
Observe, monitor and record pupil progress, including WOW moments
Prepare classroom and outdoor learning resources and displays
Support pastoral duties, breaktimes, school trips and whole-school events

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Experience working with children aged 3–7
Right to work in Spain (NIE/TIE)
High School Diploma (degree in a relevant field desirable)
Confidence using ICT (e.g. iPads) to support learning
A caring, flexible and proactive attitude with a strong commitment to pupil welfare
