ROLE SUMMARY:

The British College of Gava, in Barcelona, is seeking an enthusiastic, well-organized Science and Computing Teacher (Year 5–8 / Key Stages 2–3) to join our expanding, purpose-built school with exceptional facilities. We are looking for a committed team player with the drive and passion to inspire pupils, lead by example, and contribute fully to our school’s pastoral care and wider community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Science and Computing lessons aligned with international standards.
Implement differentiated instructional strategies to support diverse student needs.
Assess, record, and report accurately on student progress and achievement.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that integrates technology effectively.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and cross-curricular initiatives.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and parent communication.
Uphold the school’s values, safeguarding policies, and code of conduct.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Qualifications: A recognized teaching qualification and the appropriate right to work.
Experience: Confidence with ICT, alongside experience delivering KS2/KS3 Science and Computing.
Teaching Standards: Strong abilities in lesson planning, setting clear expectations, adapting teaching styles, and assessing student outcomes.
Personal Attributes: An unwavering commitment to student welfare, excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude to change, and a continuous improvement mindset.
