ROLE SUMMARY:

 

The British College of Gava, in Barcelona, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to deliver Spanish, Catalan, and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will inspire young learners through engaging, inclusive, and high-quality teaching aligned with international standards. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Spanish, Catalan, and Social Sciences.
  • Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through differentiated instruction.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Integrate cultural elements to promote global awareness and intercultural understanding.
  • Use varied teaching strategies, resources, and technology to enhance learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting systems.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well-being.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Primary Education.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish, Catalan, and Social Sciences curriculum.
  • Fluent in Spanish and Catalan; good level of English required.
  • Passionate about teaching and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and adaptable.
  • Experience in international or British curriculum schools is an advantage.
