ROLE SUMMARY:

 

The British College of Gavà is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Primary Music Teacher to join our growing school from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new, purpose-built and expanding campus with exceptional facilities, and to help shape a forward-looking school with high ambitions for both pupils and staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality music lessons across the Primary phase

  • Inspire pupils and ensure high levels of engagement and participation

  • Monitor and support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development

  • Assess progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to pupils and parents

  • Plan and deliver termly music performances (e.g. Christmas and Summer concerts)

  • Contribute to pastoral care and the wider life of the school

  • Support the Head of Faculty and senior leaders as required

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Degree in Music or a related subject, with the right to work

  • Experience teaching Music in a primary setting (British curriculum desirable)

  • Strong classroom practice and excellent organisational skills

  • Confidence using ICT to support learning

  • A positive, flexible attitude and a genuine passion for music education
