ROLE SUMMARY:

 

La Miranda School is seeking a qualified and experienced Psychology Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will teach Psychology in Secondary and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). We are looking for a dynamic educator who can inspire students and contribute to a rigorous and engaging academic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging Psychology lessons in line with the Spanish and IBDP curricula.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Prepare students for external examinations, including IBDP assessments.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and wider school life.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification or significant teaching experience within a school-based psychology role.
  • Proven experience teaching Psychology at Secondary and/or IBDP level.
  • Ability to teach in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong knowledge of the Spanish curriculum; familiarity with IBDP highly desirable.
  • Ideally Category 1 training (minimum) for the new IBDP syllabus.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
