ROLE SUMMARY:
The British College of Gavà is a vibrant, forward-thinking international school offering the English National Curriculum in a warm, inclusive and innovative environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics & ICT Teacher for our Secondary School to teach KS3 Mathematics, deliver introductory ICT, and potentially contribute to GCSE and A-Level pathways as our department continues to grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in KS3 Mathematics and Introductory ICT/Computing.

Contribute to the development and implementation of GCSE and A-Level curricula in Maths or ICT as the department expands.

Use effective assessment strategies to track progress and support differentiated learning.

Integrate digital tools and innovative teaching methods to promote curiosity, problem-solving and computational thinking.

Create an inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and challenged.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular STEM initiatives and enrichment opportunities.

Participate in school events, pastoral responsibilities, and extracurricular activities as part of the wider school community.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, ICT, or a closely related field.

PGCE with QTS, or an equivalent nationally recognised teaching qualification.

Experience teaching KS3 Mathematics, with the confidence to teach GCSE and/or A-Level Maths or ICT preferred.

Strong ICT and digital literacy skills, with the ability to introduce students to foundational computing concepts.

A passion for innovative pedagogy and the use of technology to enhance learning.

The ability to differentiate instruction effectively for mixed-ability groups.

Excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
