ROLE SUMMARY:
The British College of Gavà, part of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking a motivated and experienced Psychology Teacher to join our Secondary team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a purpose-built, expanding IB World School just south of Barcelona.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across GCSE and IB programmes, fostering critical thinking and supporting students to achieve their academic potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based Psychology lessons in line with GCSE and IB curricula.
- Develop differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress and achievement accurately.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and assessment.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and pastoral responsibilities.
- Maintain professional communication with parents, students, and staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- University degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience teaching Psychology at Secondary level, including GCSE and/or IB.
- Strong subject knowledge, particularly in IB Psychology (desirable).
- Confidence in using ICT for teaching.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
