ROLE SUMMARY:

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, purpose-built international school in Barcelona. We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised French Teacher capable of inspiring learners across the whole school, from Primary through Secondary and pre-university pathways.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver engaging, inquiry-based French lessons aligned with the school curricula.

  • Plan and implement differentiated learning strategies to support diverse student needs across multiple age groups.

  • Assess, record, and report on student progress accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that fosters language development and student well-being.

  • Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching, language acquisition, and cultural learning.

  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, cross-curricular planning, and whole-school language initiatives.

  • Contribute to school events, extracurricular programmes, and community-related activities.

  • Maintain professional communication with parents, students, and staff.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Strong subject knowledge in French language teaching across Primary and Secondary levels.

  • Ability to deliver high-quality, well-planned lessons and assess learning effectively.

  • Experience with British and/or IB curricula (GCSE, A Level, MYP, DP) is an advantage.

  • Confident use of educational technology to support learning.

  • Relevant university degree and appropriate right to work in Spain.

  • Excellent organisational skills, adaptability, and commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.

  • A collaborative mindset and dedication to continuous professional growth.
