ROLE SUMMARY:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, purpose-built international school in Barcelona. We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised French Teacher capable of inspiring learners across the whole school, from Primary through Secondary and pre-university pathways.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver engaging, inquiry-based French lessons aligned with the school curricula.
Plan and implement differentiated learning strategies to support diverse student needs across multiple age groups.
Assess, record, and report on student progress accurately and in a timely manner.
Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that fosters language development and student well-being.
Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching, language acquisition, and cultural learning.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, cross-curricular planning, and whole-school language initiatives.
Contribute to school events, extracurricular programmes, and community-related activities.
Maintain professional communication with parents, students, and staff.
Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Strong subject knowledge in French language teaching across Primary and Secondary levels.
Ability to deliver high-quality, well-planned lessons and assess learning effectively.
Experience with British and/or IB curricula (GCSE, A Level, MYP, DP) is an advantage.
Confident use of educational technology to support learning.
Relevant university degree and appropriate right to work in Spain.
Excellent organisational skills, adaptability, and commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
A collaborative mindset and dedication to continuous professional growth.
