ROLE SUMMARY:
The British College of Gava, in Barcelona, are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised English Teacher (English Language and Literature) who can inspire students across Secondary and A Level programmes. As a growing school, we are looking for excellent teachers with the potential to take on future leadership roles. The successful candidate will be a committed team player with the energy, passion, and professionalism to contribute to our forward-thinking learning environment, lead by example, and support the wider pastoral life of the school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver engaging and academically rigorous English Language & Literature lessons aligned with the school curriculum and international standards.

Plan and implement differentiated learning strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student body.

Assess, record, and report on student progress with accuracy and timeliness.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that supports student well-being and intellectual curiosity.

Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching, learning, and student engagement.

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment design, and cross-curricular initiatives.

Participate actively in school events, extracurricular activities, parent communication, and community initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Experience teaching GCSE, A Level, IB, or other international curricula.
