Biology Teacher

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised and inspiring Biology Teacher who is passionate about learning and committed to helping students achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who can engage and motivate students through stimulating, inquiry-based learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Biology lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and international standards.

• Develop and implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

• Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that challenge, inspire and support students of different abilities.

• Assess, record and report accurately and promptly on students’ progress and achievement.

• Provide effective and constructive feedback that enables students to understand and improve their performance.

• Create a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment that promotes learning, confidence and well-being.

• Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.

• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment design and cross-curricular initiatives.

• Contribute to the wider Science curriculum and support the development of Biology across the relevant key stages.

• Participate actively in school events, extracurricular activities and community engagement programmes.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A university degree in Biology or a relevant Science subject.

• A recognised teaching qualification enabling the candidate to teach in the UK and/or Spain.

• Experience teaching Biology and/or Science at secondary level.

• Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice.

• Experience of IB Diploma Programme Biology and/or GCSE Biology/Science would be desirable.

• Experience teaching KS3 Science would be an advantage.
