ROLE SUMMARY:

 

The British College of Gavà (BCG), an IB World School within the global Inspired Education Group, is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Part-Time Art Teacher to join our creative and forward-thinking community from late August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving international school situated in beautiful natural surroundings just south of Barcelona.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Art lessons aligned with school curriculum and international standards.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

  • Assess, record, and report on student progress accurately and promptly.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.

  • Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning activities.

  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-curricular projects.

  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and wider community initiatives.

  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and staff.

  • Engage actively in professional development and reflective practice.

  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies, values, and code of conduct.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Art (KS3 and/or GCSE Art experience ideal).

  • Ability to set high expectations, plan effectively, and adapt teaching based on feedback.

  • Excellent classroom practice, organisation, and commitment to student welfare.

  • Confident use of ICT to enhance learning.

  • A university degree in a relevant subject and appropriate right to work.

  • A passion for education and continuous improvement.
