ROLE SUMMARY:
ACG Penguins is seeking casual unqualified Teachers to join our early learning team located in the heart of Howick, Auckland. By encouraging exploration, curiosity, and collaboration, we empower children to take an active role in their education. Teachers, families, and children work together to create a rich, inquiry-based learning environment that extends beyond the classroom.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and are available to provide flexible relief support when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage as a reflective practitioner to continually enhance children’s learning.
- Apply a wide range of teaching strategies that promote equity, excellence, and respect for cultural diversity.
- Use intentional teaching practices to effectively respond to and engage all learners.
- Participate in critical enquiry and problem‑solving to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching approaches and learning outcomes.
- Adapt confidently and flexibly to meet the varying ages, needs, and learning styles of children.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to children’s changing needs.
- A strong commitment to supporting children’s learning, development, and overall wellbeing.
- A positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to daily practice.
- Strong teamwork abilities and effective communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and engage with RIE, Reggio Emilia, and Te Whāriki principles.
- Experience working with children under six years old, ideally within a New Zealand early childhood setting.
