ROLE SUMMARY:
ACG Remuera Early Learning School is a purpose‑built, Reggio‑inspired Centre at the heart of the Remuera community. Our passionate and forward‑focused team is committed to delivering exceptional care and education, where children are truly at the centre of everything we do. We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and NZ‑registered ECE Team Leader to join our well‑supported infant room on a permanent, full‑time basis. Leading our 3‑months to 2‑years room, you will guide and mentor a team of five educators,
You will bring 2–4 years of experience, strong leadership capability, and a genuine passion for high‑quality early learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain ongoing records of children’s development and learning journeys through portfolios and digital documentation.
- Design and create age‑appropriate, inspiring, and engaging learning environments.
- Lead, guide, and collaborate with a team of five educators to deliver high‑quality early learning experiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families to support each child’s learning and development.
- Follow the Primary Care‑Giving Approach to provide consistent, individualised support for infants and toddlers.
- Uphold and advocate for the principles of the Reggio Emilia philosophy within the learning environment.
- Ensure full compliance with Centre policies, procedures, and the ACG Early Childhood Code of Ethics.
- Lead room meetings, attend staff meetings, and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, including communication with families, colleagues, and Centre leadership.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes the wellbeing of all children.
- Contribute to the daily operational tasks involved in setting up, cleaning, and organising learning materials and play spaces.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and leadership.
- Ability to reflect on, evaluate, and adapt teaching practices based on observations and assessments.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent regulatory‑approved qualification).
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications.
- Strong understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements.
