ROLE SUMMARY:

ACG Strathallan, part of ACG Schools, is an independent, coeducational school located in South Auckland.  We prepare our students for a lifetime of learning, equipping them with the academic, sporting, and cultural skills they need to become balanced and independent global citizens. Located in Karaka, our teachers benefit from a highly resourced, contemporary teaching environment, focused students and competitive remuneration.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher Aide for a full-time term time only position starting in July 2024. The successful applicant must be flexible, committed and a good team player. They will also have the necessary skills to work successfully with children, parents, staff and the overall ACG philosophy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide in-class support for the student
  • Assist the student to achieve their learning goals
  • Assist the teacher to write the student’s IEP
  • Accompany the student on school trips where necessary
  • Work co-operatively with the teaching staff and assist them as directed
  • Maintain communication with the teacher about the student so that the teacher may communicate directly with the student’s parents/guardians
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the student at all times

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Well organised with ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks
