ROLE SUMMARY:
ACG Sunderland is a private school in Henderson, West Auckland, delivering rewarding educational pathways and exceptional international education to children in the West Auckland locale. We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher Aide for a part-time (20 hours per week), fixed term position starting in term 1 2026. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, a team player. The Teacher Aide will be joining our secondary team and will work during the term time only, prior experience is preferred.
The successful applicant must be flexible, committed and a good team player. They will also have the necessary skills to work successfully with children, parents, staff and the overall ACG philosophy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide in-class support for the students
- Assist the students to achieve their learning goals
- Assist the teacher to write the student's IEP
- Accompany the students on school trips where necessary
- Work co-operatively with the teaching staff and assist them as directed
- Maintain communication with the teacher about the students so that the teacher may communicate directly with the student's parents/guardians
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the students at all times
