ROLE SUMMARY:
ACG Parnell College is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school based in Parnell, Auckland. We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to join the administration team from June 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The position will involve front of school reception, customer service and a range of office responsibilities including secretarial support, cash handling and banking, and data processing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet visitors to campus and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage enquiries in person, online and over the phone.
- Maintain and update student records, ensuring information is accurate and complete.
- Complete regular tasks (depending on the term) including compiling and publishing the Daily Notices bulletin, compiling the school bus roster, maintaining and ordering stationery supplies, ordering name badges, maintaining and managing uniform needs, organising drycleaning, etc.
- Maintain staff room and ordering supplies as required.
- Organise Reception cover during holiday periods.
- Liaise with couriers and providers.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with school management systems (desirable).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle enquiries and issues efficiently.
