We are looking for an experienced Property Officer who is ‘hands on’ (perhaps with Trade experience) and is able to hit the ground running in various tasks from gardening to playground inspections to hanging doors as well as general maintenance activities. This position is permanent, full-time and will start in May 2026.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out general grounds maintenance, including gardening, weed-eating, spraying, and water blasting
  • Perform routine recycling duties, including paper recycling management
  • Complete window cleaning across site facilities
  • Monitor carparks and report any safety or access issues
  • Conduct regular playground inspections to ensure safety and compliance
  • Perform evacuation checks and support site safety procedures
  • Undertake basic lighting maintenance and minor plumbing tasks
  • Assist with general workshop maintenance and upkeep
  • Safely operate and handle power tools as required
  • Carry out physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, in a safe manner
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A confident and personable communicator who enjoys engaging with the local community
  • Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Professional, reliable, and naturally people‑focusedPhysically fit and comfortable with hands‑on, manual work
  • Holder of a clean, full New Zealand driver’s licence (essential)
  • First Aid certification is an advantage but not required
