ROLE SUMMARY:
ACG Schools is a group of premium independent schools in New Zealand offering Cambridge International pathways and a strong focus on academic excellence and holistic education. As part of the Inspired Education Group, they deliver globally recognised programmes across their campuses, including four independent schools in New Zealand. ACG Schools is made up of 4 schools (K-13) and an additional 4 early learning schools.
Ensuring the smooth running of all operational aspects within New Zealand, this role will manage school and procurement projects, contract reviews, health and safety, and emergency repairs while working closely with school leadership and external contractors.
This role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract based at our Head Office in Auckland and will require regular travel between our schools. Start ASAP
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support maintenance of all school campuses to meet operational standards.
- Assist with urgent repairs, refurbishments, and ongoing maintenance planning.
- Coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
- Oversee maintenance requests to ensure timely response and resolution.
- Support compliance with health, safety, and security regulations, including risk assessments.
- Maintain safety records and assist with emergency preparedness, fire drills, and evacuation plans.
- Collaborate with the APAC Operations Director to improve operational processes and efficiency.
- Provide on-site operational support, including utilities monitoring and procurement assistance.
- Support construction and refurbishment projects, including quality control, budgeting, and progress tracking.
- Act as a liaison between school leadership and APAC management, providing updates and coordination support.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, facilities management, or project management.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- High proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- Ability to travel within New Zealand.
- Own car and valid driver’s licence would be an advantage.
Desirable
- Experience in the education sector or school operations.
- OHSA/NEBOSH certification or similar health and safety qualifications.
- Knowledge of local regulations related to school facilities management.
