Director of Sports and Clubs

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an inspirational and strategic leader to drive our vision for sport and clubs at ACG Parnell College, a thriving school community of around 1,900 students (Years 1–13).

This is a newly created leadership position, reflecting our commitment to elevating sporting and club programmes across the school. As Director of Sport and Clubs, you will bring strategic vision, operational excellence, and a passion for student development to lead a dynamic programme that champions both participation and performance. This is a permanent, full-time position due to commence term 4 2025.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Shape and deliver a whole-school strategic plan for sport and clubs, aligned with our educational values.
• Lead and inspire a team of coordinators, coaches, and volunteers.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, budgets, events, and facilities.
• Build strong relationships with local and national sporting organisations.
• Foster a culture that celebrates inclusion, teamwork, and excellence.
• Act as the public face of sport and clubs, representing the school with parents, community partners, and media.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A degree in Sports Science, PE, Sports Management or related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in school sport or a similar environment.
• Proven success in strategic planning, programme development, and team leadership.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage students, parents, and the wider community.
• A deep understanding of youth development and a commitment to inclusive participation.
