ROLE SUMMARY:

 

KC Alicante are looking for an enthusiastic Temporary Teacher of Chemistry with experience teaching IBDP-level Chemistry. The ideal candidate will have a strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students in both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons at IBDP level, as well as KS3 and KS4 where necessary.
  • Foster a deep understanding of scientific principles through engaging and inquiry-based learning.
  • Support students in their preparation for exams and coursework.
  • Work collaboratively within the department to develop resources and best practices.
  • Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills in line with IB philosophy.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry to IBDP level.
  • Strong understanding of IB methodologies and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent practical laboratory skills and a commitment to safety

Desirable

  • Previous experience in an international school setting.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary learning approaches.
