ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College School Alicante is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join the school on a temporary basis from March 2027, covering a period of paternity leave.
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across the school, up to A Level, and will be responsible for delivering engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons that support students in achieving their full academic potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach Mathematics across the school, up to A Level.

Plan and deliver engaging and appropriately challenging Mathematics lessons.

Prepare and support students studying A Level Mathematics, ensuring they develop strong subject knowledge and examination skills.

Assess and monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback.

Adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet the needs of individual learners.

Promote problem-solving, logical thinking and independent learning.

Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.

Collaborate with colleagues within the Mathematics department and across the wider school.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.

A recognised teaching qualification appropriate for secondary education.

Previous experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.

Strong experience teaching A Level Mathematics is essential.

Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Mathematics.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to engage and inspire students of different ages and abilities.

Experience within a British or international school environment would be advantageous.

Commitment to high academic standards and student progress.

Excellent spoken and written English.

Availability to start in March 2027 and undertake the temporary assignment covering paternity leave.
