ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College, The British School of Alicante, one of the most sought-after British schools in Spain, is seeking an inspiring and committed Middle School Science Teacher to join the team from late August 2026. This role involves teaching General Science to mixed-attainment students in the Middle School, within a supportive, innovative, and high-achieving environment. The successful candidate will help foster curiosity, scientific thinking, and a love of learning among students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality General Science lessons to Middle School students (typically KS3 level).

Differentiate instruction to support mixed-ability learners and ensure all students make strong progress.

Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school and British curriculum standards.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and scientific inquiry.

Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and collaborative planning within the department.

Participate actively in school life, including extracurricular activities, school events, and pastoral support.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A relevant degree in Science or a related field and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).

Experience teaching Science at KS2/KS3 or Middle School level, ideally within a British curriculum environment.

A passion for STEM education and the ability to inspire students of different abilities.

Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
