ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King’s College, The British School of Alicante is seeking a Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher to join its team on a full-time basis for the 2026/27 academic year. This is a British curriculum school operating under BSO inspection standards, delivering high-quality British-style education in an international setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Teach KS2 within the British National Curriculum framework
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess, track and report pupil progress in line with UK assessment standards
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Contribute to wider school life, extracurricular activities and pastoral care
  • Work collaboratively within a high-performing primary team

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching within the UK National Curriculum (KS2 essential)
  • Strong classroom management and pupil engagement skills
  • Excellent English language proficiency (native or near-native level)
  • Experience in British or international schools is highly desirable
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative teaching team
