Secondary Humanities Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Secondary Humanities Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction. The successful candidate will foster strong understanding of the Cambridge and IB curricula, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students, while contributing positively to the academic life of the school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum qualification of Graduate Certificate
• Experience teaching Humanities subjects at the High/Secondary School level
• Familiarity with the UK-IGCSE curriculum
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans and assessments
• Minimum qualification of Graduate Certificate in Education or relevant field
• At least 4 years of teaching experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with the IGCSE/IBDP curricula preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to create dynamic and engaging lessons

• Experience of the English National Curriculum, (I)GCSE and IBDP syllabuses is desirable.

• Ability to contribute to our extra-curricular activities programme.
• The flexibility to work in groups across curriculum subjects and across key stages.
• A team player who will help develop new initiatives to enhance the Humanities curricula.
• Knowledge and experience in the use of digital technologies to enhance pupils’ learning.
