KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant to support our early childhood educators in delivering inquiry-based, student-centered learning within the framework of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Reggio Emilia approaches. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the lead teacher to foster curiosity, independence, and holistic development in a bilingual classroom environment. The responsibilities are:
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of PYP-aligned learning experiences inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.
- Support the tutor in creating a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Help document and assess student learning and share observations with the teaching team.
- Provide individual and group support to students, adapting to their diverse needs.
- Maintain open and professional communication with families and colleagues.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to team collaboration.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Familiarity with PYP and Reggio Emilia methodologies.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and the ability to connect with young learners.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
