We are seeking a detail-oriented and committed Sub Accountant to join our professional and collaborative school operations team. The successful candidate will support the school’s day-to-day accounting activities, ensure accurate financial records, and contribute to the smooth and compliant running of the finance function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the day-to-day accounting operations of the school, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
  • Assist with the recording and reconciliation of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for invoices, payments, receipts, and expense reports.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.
  • Support payroll-related accounting activities in coordination with HR and external providers.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and schedules for internal review.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax requirements and support filings when required.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records and archives.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accountant / Finance Manager and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as required by the school.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A degree or technical qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Experience working with accounting systems and strong Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, reliable, and collaborative approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
  • Knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations in Peru is highly desirable.
  • Experience in an educational or service-based organization is an advantage.
