KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality PE lessons aligned curriculum and the school’s educational standards.
- Foster physical literacy, motor skill development, fitness, and healthy lifestyle habits in young learners.
- Create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive social interactions through structured games and activities.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse physical abilities and developmental needs of students.
- Organise, supervise, and participate in school sporting events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure the safe use, setup, and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, coordinators, and other staff to support student wellbeing and whole-child development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and model appropriate attitudes related to health, fitness, and personal responsibility.
- Contribute to wider school initiatives, assemblies, and events as a member of the team.
- Uphold Inspired Education’s safeguarding, health & safety, and child protection policies at all times.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field; a recognised teaching qualification is essential.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience teaching PE to primary or junior school students, ideally in an international or bilingual environment.
- Strong knowledge of child development, motor skills acquisition, and age-appropriate physical education methodologies.
- Ability to design engaging, safe, and inclusive lessons suitable for various ability levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support young learners.
- Experience coaching sports teams or leading athletic activities is an advantage.
- Passion for promoting health, fitness, teamwork, and positive values through sport.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in PE teaching practices.
