We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure that the school’s buildings, equipment, and systems are kept in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and skilled in general maintenance work, with the ability to handle preventive and corrective maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, identifying and resolving potential issues promptly.
- Support the setup and dismantling of furniture, equipment, and materials for school events.
- Assist in maintaining air conditioning, lighting, and water systems.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with external providers or contractors for specialized repairs or services.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and supplies used.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or school leadership.
- Collaborate with the Facilities and Operations team to ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment for students and staff.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Technical qualification or certification in electrical, mechanical, or general maintenance.
- Proven experience in maintenance work (preferably in schools, hotels, or large facilities).
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work with tools, equipment, and maintenance software safely and efficiently.
- Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented, with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours when required (e.g., events or emergency repairs).
