We are currently seeking for a English Teacher for Junior School to join our dedicated team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons aligned to Junior School, with effective differentiation for diverse learners and EAL needs.
- Use a range of formative and summative assessments to track progress and inform teaching, communicating outcomes clearly to pupils and parents.
- Maintain a purposeful, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Integrate digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning, feedback, and student independence.
- Collaborate with year-group and subject teams to plan sequences of learning and share best practice across key stages.
- Contribute to curriculum development and new initiatives that strengthen the English programme.
- Participate actively in the school’s extra-curricular activities programme.
- Engage with parents and carers through clear, professional communication and regular reporting.
- Take part in professional learning, coaching, and appraisal processes to continually refine practice.
- Uphold school policies and routines; contribute positively to staff culture and whole-school events.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Minimum 3 years’ successful teaching experience, preferably in primary/Junior School.
- A Bachelor’s degree (any discipline; education/English-related preferred).
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE/PGDE, UK QTS, or equivalent).
- Proficient English communication skills (spoken and written); Spanish an advantage.
- A proven record of excellent pedagogy: clear instruction, adaptive teaching, and effective assessment.
- Team-player mindset with the flexibility to collaborate across subjects and key stages.
- Digital fluency to enhance learning (e.g., learning platforms, assessment tools, classroom apps).
- Student-centred ethos with enthusiasm, resilience, and a commitment to educating the whole child.
- Willingness to lead or support co-curricular clubs and events.
