ROLE SUMMARY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To promote the values and attributes of a Cambridge College student-athlete among the students and their families.
- To plan, publish and promote the Cambridge College community´s athletics activities, seasons and tournaments.
- To arrange necessary details such as officials, transportation and food.
- To plan and publish the athletics schedule, liaising with ADECOPA and other schools.
- To recruit coaches and to meet the school´s demands for an athletics program.
- To vet prospective coaches thoroughly, conduct background checks, and ensure their suitability to work with children.
- To provide an induction program for all coaches, ensuring that they can meet the school´s expectations around child safegurding, protection, and attendance and that they conduct their activities in accordance with the school´s expected pedagogy and communication guidelines.
- Liaise with the Cambridge College Academies Coordinator and Academic Leaders to ensure that facilities and resources are used following the school´s priorities.
- Liaise with the Human Resources and Finance Departments to ensure that the activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Promote the Cambridge College Athletics Program on appropriate platforms, assemblies and parent sessiones.
- Review each sport upon season completion to provide feedback to the coaches to enhance the program delivery.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- The ability to recruit, evaluate and retain talented, caring coaches.
- Strong interpersonal skills in working with studentes, parents and coaches.
- Organisational skills such as timetabling and budgeting.
- The ability to promote and celebrate the Athletics Program.
