The IB History Teacher will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to IB students, preparing them for success in their History examinations and beyond. The teacher will inspire curiosity, develop critical thinking, and guide students in historical research and analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IB History lessons that align with the IB curriculum.
Develop lesson plans, resources, and assessments to meet learning objectives.
Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and cross-disciplinary projects.
Organize and participate in educational trips, workshops, and historical seminars.
Engage with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and achievements.
Attend professional development sessions and contribute to departmental meetings.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in History or a related subject (Master’s preferred).
Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB History.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
Familiarity with IB curriculum standards and assessment methods.
