St. Peter's International School is seeking two passionate Weekend Boarding Supervisors to join our vibrant boarding community. In this exciting role, you will play a key part in creating a fun, active, and enriching experience for our teenage boarding students.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create diverse and engaging weekend activities and community service projects for boarding students, catering to various interests and age groups.
  • Liaise with the Head of Boarding and Head of Girls’ Boarding.
  • Gather feedback from the Boarding Council on activities.
  • Handle activity bookings and supervise events.
  • Ensure activities are safe and fulfill Risk Assessment requirements.
  • Use boarding house software and media platforms for communication with parents, staff, and students.
  • Conduct regular roll calls and supervise activities.
  • Encourage student participation and healthy risks.
  • Administer basic first aid and offer on-call support.
  • Obtain first aid certificate & CPR training within three months if not already certified.
  • Ensure nutritious snacks and meals are available on weekends through coordination with Catering staff.
  • Participate in meetings with the Head of Boarding and Head of Girls’ Boarding.
  • Help organize and attend events such as the Boarder Leavers Dinner and Christmas Dinner.
  • Attend other school-related events as needed.
  • Assist with Boarder Induction Week and attend Safeguarding, Professional Development, First Aid, and EduCare Training sessions

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Ability to supervise the care of young people in a residential setting contributing to their social, emotional, educational and physical development.
  • Sound communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  •  A positive and supportive team member.
  • Basic First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Driver's License to transport boarders to activity destinations (preferable)
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in Portuguese and English.
