ROLE SUMMARY:

Kings College Panama is a world-class premium international school, bordered by the Panamanian rainforest and situated on a brand-new, state-of-the-art campus, conveniently located within easy access to the vibrant city centre.

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Math Teacher to join our team of educators. The successful candidate will be passionate about mathematics education, dedicated to fostering critical thinking skills, and committed to providing high-quality instruction to students in the IBDP.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons for students.
  2. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  3. Foster a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages inquiry, collaboration, and independent thinking.
  4. Implement the IB curriculum framework, including the development of unit plans, assessments, and internal assessments.
  5. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress and academic performance.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues to align teaching practices and curriculum delivery across the IBDP mathematics program.
  7. Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
  8. Stay abreast of developments in mathematics education and IB curriculum updates, and participate in professional development opportunities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Teaching certification or licensure in Mathematics Education.
  3. Experience teaching mathematics at the high school level, preferably within an IB or similar international curriculum.
  4. In-depth knowledge of the IBDP Mathematics curriculum and assessment requirements.
  5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to differentiate instruction and support the needs of diverse learners.
  7. Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
